The O-Shot®Physician-Led Intimate Wellness

Address Urinary Incontinence, Vaginal Dryness, and Intimate Concerns — Naturally

The O-Shot® uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood to support tissue renewal in intimate areas. At SkinArtMD Burnaby, this regulated medical procedure is performed by Dr. Sharon Fong (CPSBC) — a female physician — in a fully private clinical setting. Consultations available in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

About the O-Shot®

A Medical Approach to Intimate Wellness

The O-Shot® (Orgasm Shot) is a regulated autologous biologic procedure: growth factors isolated from your own blood are injected into specific vaginal and clitoral tissues to stimulate cellular repair and nerve regeneration — without surgery or pharmaceutical drugs.

The O-Shot® uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) — a concentration of growth factors derived from your own blood — to support tissue repair in intimate areas. Because PRP is autologous (sourced from your own body), the procedure carries no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. No Health Canada drug approval is required for autologous PRP procedures. Dr. Sharon Fong (CPSBC) performs this procedure at SkinArtMD Burnaby with strict sterile protocols in a fully private medical suite.

Intimate Sensitivity & Lubrication

Clinical observations indicate many patients report improvements in natural lubrication and tissue sensitivity over a 3–12 week period. Individual response varies.

Stress Urinary Incontinence

PRP injections support the periurethral tissue, which may improve urethral closure and reduce leakage with physical activity such as coughing or sneezing.

Dyspareunia & Tissue Atrophy

Addresses discomfort associated with painful intercourse (dyspareunia) and conditions such as vaginal atrophy related to perimenopause or post-childbirth changes.

Treatment Areas

Targeted Anatomical Sites

The O-Shot® targets specific anatomical structures. Injection sites are determined by Dr. Fong during assessment based on each patient's presenting concerns.

Vaginal Wall Tissue

PRP supports tissue repair and collagen remodeling in the vaginal walls, which may improve elasticity, lubrication, and comfort.

Clitoral Region

Growth factor delivery to the clitoral area may support nerve function and local circulation. Individual response varies.

Periurethral Tissue

PRP injections around the urethra target the supportive tissue involved in stress urinary incontinence.

Overall Intimate Tissue Health

The combined effect supports broader pelvic tissue health, which may benefit multiple concerns simultaneously.

The Procedure

Private, Careful, Medically Supervised

Performed by Dr. Sharon Fong (CPSBC) in a private medical suite at SkinArtMD Burnaby. Total appointment time is approximately 60–75 minutes.

Before Your Appointment

1

Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood-thinning medications for 5–7 days prior, unless medically contraindicated — confirm with Dr. Fong at consultation

2

Arrive well-hydrated; adequate hydration improves the blood draw process

3

Disclose all current medications, supplements, and relevant medical history at your consultation

During the Procedure

1

Blood Draw

A small blood sample is taken from your arm — similar to a routine lab test. This step takes approximately 5–10 minutes.

2

PRP Preparation

Your blood sample is centrifuged using a Health Canada-licensed device to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This takes approximately 15 minutes.

3

Topical Anaesthesia

A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and allowed to take effect. Most patients report mild pressure rather than significant discomfort during the procedure.

4

PRP Injection

Dr. Fong injects the prepared PRP into the anatomically targeted sites. The injection portion of the procedure takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

After Your Appointment

1

Most patients return to normal daily activities the same day; strenuous exercise may be avoided for 24 hours at your physician's discretion

2

Mild tenderness or minor spotting in the 24 hours following treatment is possible; if symptoms persist or worsen, contact the clinic

3

Observable changes typically begin at 3–12 weeks as tissue remodeling progresses; individual timelines vary

4

Some patients benefit from a second session; Dr. Fong will advise based on your response at a follow-up assessment

**Individual results vary. The O-Shot® is not a guaranteed treatment. Tissue remodeling is a gradual biological process — most patients observe changes at 3–12 weeks. Some patients may require 2–3 sessions for their desired clinical outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered Honestly

Is the O-Shot® painful?+

Discomfort is a common concern. Dr. Fong applies a topical anaesthetic cream before any injection. Most patients describe a sensation of pressure rather than sharp pain. Some mild tenderness at the injection site for a few hours after the procedure is possible. If you have specific concerns about pain tolerance, discuss them at your consultation — Dr. Fong will walk you through what to expect.

How long before I notice results?+

Tissue remodeling is a gradual biological process. Many patients report initial changes in sensitivity or urinary control at 3–6 weeks, with continued improvement through 3–12 months. For urinary incontinence specifically, clinical improvement may take longer to become consistent. Individual timelines vary and a second session may be recommended.

Is there any recovery time?+

Most patients return to normal daily activity the same day. Mild spotting or tenderness for up to 24 hours is possible. Dr. Fong will provide specific post-procedure guidance at your appointment. If any unusual symptoms develop after treatment, the clinic should be contacted promptly.

Can the O-Shot® treat urinary incontinence?+

The O-Shot® is primarily indicated for stress urinary incontinence — leakage associated with physical activity such as coughing, sneezing, or exercise. Clinical observations suggest many patients report meaningful improvement, though individual response varies. It is not a surgical intervention and does not replace pelvic floor physiotherapy or other appropriate medical management. Dr. Fong may recommend combining the O-Shot® with Emsella for a more comprehensive approach.

Is autologous PRP safe? What are the risks?+

Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or immune rejection is considered minimal. As with any injection procedure, there are inherent risks including localized bruising, mild swelling, or infection, though these are uncommon with proper sterile technique. Dr. Fong will review your full medical history and current medications at consultation to confirm suitability and discuss any individual risk factors.
