The P-Shot®PRP Men's Wellness

Restore Function, Sensitivity, and Confidence Through Regenerative Medicine

The P-Shot® (Priapus Shot) is a physician-administered regenerative procedure using your body's own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to address erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, and declining sexual performance. At SkinArtMD Burnaby, Dr. Sharon Fong (CPSBC-registered) personally performs every treatment — not a nurse or technician. Private consultations available in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

How It Works

Regeneration, Not Symptom Masking

Oral medications for erectile dysfunction work by temporarily dilating blood vessels in men whose vasculature is intact. They do not repair damaged tissue or rebuild circulation. The P-Shot® works differently — using concentrated growth factors from your own blood to stimulate actual tissue regeneration.

At SkinArtMD Burnaby, the P-Shot® is performed exclusively by Dr. Sharon Fong, a CPSBC-registered physician with deep expertise in men's intimate health. The full appointment runs approximately 45–60 minutes: blood is drawn from your arm, centrifuged to isolate PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), then injected into specific anatomical sites under local anaesthetic. As an autologous biologic — using only your own blood — there is no foreign substance introduced. The procedure is a regulated medical act in British Columbia, which is why physician administration matters for both safety and legal compliance.

Improved Erectile Quality

Studies indicate PRP growth factors promote new blood vessel formation within penile tissue, supporting stronger, more reliable erections. Most patients report initial changes within 4–8 weeks; optimal results typically emerge at 3 months.

Peyronie's and Plaque Reduction

PRP's regenerative properties may help remodel fibrous scar tissue associated with Peyronie's disease, with clinical observations suggesting reduced curvature and discomfort in eligible candidates.

No Pharmaceutical Dependency

Unlike daily oral medications, the P-Shot® aims to rebuild the underlying tissue — meaning results, where achieved, persist independently of ongoing drug use. Annual maintenance sessions help sustain improvement long-term.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Ideal Candidates

The P-Shot® is most appropriate for men experiencing mild to moderate erectile dysfunction, early Peyronie's disease, or reduced sensitivity — where the underlying cause is vascular or neurological rather than primarily hormonal or psychological. Dr. Fong conducts a thorough medical history review and physical assessment before recommending treatment.

The P-Shot® is typically suitable for:

  • +Men with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED) who have not responded fully to, or prefer not to rely on, oral medications
  • +Men with early or moderate Peyronie's disease seeking non-surgical plaque remodelling and curvature reduction
  • +Men experiencing reduced sensitivity or declining sexual response due to age-related vascular changes
  • +Men who wish to reduce reliance on pharmaceutical ED medications and pursue a regenerative approach
  • +Men with diabetes-related vascular ED who have limited response to PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil)
  • +Men in generally good health seeking to maintain or improve sexual function as a proactive wellness measure

The P-Shot® is not recommended for men with:

  • Active infection, open wound, or significant inflammation in the treatment area — treatment should be deferred until fully resolved
  • Diagnosed bleeding disorders (e.g., haemophilia, von Willebrand disease) or those on anticoagulant therapy that cannot be safely paused
  • Severe Peyronie's disease with significant structural deformity — surgical consultation (e.g., penile plication or implant) is the more appropriate first step
  • Severe ED primarily of psychological or severe hormonal origin — a comprehensive assessment is recommended before pursuing PRP
Treatment Anatomy

Targeted Injection Sites

Dr. Fong uses anatomical landmarks to place PRP precisely where regenerative activity is most clinically relevant — minimising off-target tissue exposure and maximising therapeutic effect.

Penile Shaft (Corpus Cavernosum)

The two cylindrical chambers that fill with blood during erection. PRP injected here aims to stimulate new capillary formation and improve tissue elasticity, supporting firmer erections.

Glans (Penile Head)

Rich in sensory nerve endings. PRP delivered to the glans targets nerve regeneration and improved blood perfusion, with the aim of restoring or enhancing sensitivity.

Peyronie's Plaque Sites

For men with Peyronie's disease, Dr. Fong may direct additional PRP volume to areas of fibrous plaque to support tissue remodelling and potential curvature improvement.

Your Appointment at SkinArtMD

What to Expect: A Comfortable, Private Visit

Every step of your P-Shot® appointment at our Burnaby clinic is designed for discretion and clinical precision. Dr. Fong walks you through each stage before proceeding. Most patients describe the experience as significantly more comfortable than anticipated.

Before Your Appointment

1

Stop aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and fish oil supplements 5–7 days before treatment to reduce bruising risk; prescription blood thinners require explicit physician guidance before pausing

2

Drink at least 500 mL of water in the 2 hours before your appointment — good hydration improves PRP yield and quality

3

Disclose all current medications, supplements, and relevant medical history during your consultation; all information is held in strict medical confidence

4

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to support blood quality and reduce sensitivity

During Treatment (~45–60 Minutes Total)

1

Consultation and Consent

Dr. Fong reviews your health history, discusses realistic expectations, and confirms candidacy. Informed consent is obtained before any procedure begins.

2

Blood Draw and PRP Preparation

A standard blood draw from your arm is processed in a centrifuge for approximately 10–15 minutes to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. You rest comfortably while the PRP is prepared.

3

Anaesthetic Application

Topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for 20–30 minutes, followed by a local nerve block administered by Dr. Fong. The majority of patients report feeling only mild pressure — not sharp pain — during the injection phase.

After Your Treatment

1

Mild swelling, bruising, or sensitivity at injection sites is expected and typically resolves within 1–3 days; most men return to desk work the following day

2

Sexual activity may be resumed the same evening — gentle activity is encouraged as it supports PRP distribution through the tissue

3

Use the vacuum erection device as instructed by Dr. Fong for the first 4–6 weeks to support optimal tissue engagement

4

Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, naproxen) for 5–7 days post-treatment, as mild inflammation is part of the regenerative process; paracetamol is appropriate for discomfort

**Individual results vary based on baseline health, severity of ED, age, and lifestyle factors. No procedure can guarantee specific outcomes. The P-Shot® is a regulated medical procedure performed by a licensed physician at SkinArtMD Burnaby. Annual maintenance sessions help sustain benefit over time.

Your Questions, Answered

Honest Answers

Does the injection hurt? Be direct.+

Most patients are genuinely surprised by how manageable it is. Dr. Fong applies topical anaesthetic cream for 20–30 minutes and then administers a local nerve block before any PRP injection. During injection, most men report feeling pressure and mild warmth — not sharp pain. On a 10-point scale, patients typically describe discomfort as 1–2 out of 10. The anticipation is usually worse than the procedure itself.

Will it increase size?+

The P-Shot® is primarily designed to improve erectile function, sensitivity, and tissue health — not as a size-enlargement procedure. That said, improved blood flow and tissue quality do result in fuller, more complete erections in men who previously experienced incomplete engorgement. Some men report a modest increase in girth as a secondary effect of improved vascular response. We will not make specific size claims, as outcomes vary considerably by individual.

How much downtime should I expect?+

There is no significant downtime. Mild swelling or bruising at the injection sites is common for 1–3 days, but most men return to office work the following day. Strenuous physical activity and anti-inflammatory medications should be avoided for the first 5–7 days post-treatment to allow the regenerative process to proceed without interference.

I have diabetes — can the P-Shot® help?+

Vascular damage from chronic high blood glucose is one of the most common causes of ED in men with Type 2 diabetes, and it is a mechanism that PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil) often address poorly once vessel damage is established. Clinical observations suggest PRP-based vascular regeneration may be more effective in this group precisely because it targets the underlying microvasculature rather than relying on dilatory pathways that are already compromised. Dr. Fong will review your current diabetes management and any cardiovascular history before recommending treatment.

How long do results last, and will I need repeat sessions?+

Results are typically maintained for 12–18 months following a single session. Tissue regeneration from PRP is a real biological process, but it does not halt natural ageing. Many men choose to schedule an annual maintenance session to sustain the improvements achieved. Some men with more significant vascular damage or progressive Peyronie's disease benefit from 2–3 initial sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart — Dr. Fong will outline a personalised plan during consultation.
